Founded in 2013, our mission is to provide underserved high school students in the LA area with the knowledge and motivation to enter the healthcare field. In addition to hosting a variety of guest speakers, including pharmacists, physicians, veterinarians, and more, our counselors teach students exciting medical skills such as suturing and first aid. At Camp Med, students learn, listen, and play while exploring the exciting world of healthcare. Campers gain insight into healthcare careers, develop practical skills, and build lasting friendships while gaining the confidence to envision themselves as the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Over the course of the weekend, we aid students in their college prep by familiarizing them with SAT/ACT requirements, FAFSA, application deadlines, and more. Many of our campers have gone on to attend great schools, even UCLA!

 

CampMed holds a special place in each and every one of our counselors' hearts as they recognize the truly valuable role played in guiding high school students towards their future, becoming a source of encouragement and inspiration as students take their first steps into healthcare.
